    Lake Caldonazzo and Valsugana are located in the heart of Trentino, a region famous for its breathtaking landscapes and rich history. In particular, the Valsugana is an enchanting valley that stretches for about 80 kilometres, starting from the city of Trento and reaching the province of Vicenza, providing panoramic views of extraordinary beauty to visitors.

  • On foot: Starting out on foot, you can visit the village of Calceranica, the church of Sant'Ermete, a small treasure built on an ancient temple to the goddess Diana, the mine with its museum, and the high church perched above the village, which provides an excellent panorama.
  • By train: You can visit the provincial capital Trento with its beautiful museums and historic centre by train, you can travel to Borgo Valsugana where the Wednesday market is held, Bassano famous for its grappa, or you can go as far as Venice where a day trip allows you to see this architectural marvel.
  • By car: By car, you can visit the Mocheni Valley where the Mochena ethnic group lives and speaks an ancient 16th century German, or go to Luserna where they speak Ladin, and to Lavarone to visit Fort Belvedere, where you can relive the drama of the First World War. Another nearby excursion is to the Segonzano pyramids, stunning geological formations that were created by soil erosion. Slightly longer trips will take you to the Val di Genova, an incredible place in the Dolomiti di Brenta national park, where there is the Nardis waterfall, the largest in Trentino, and where you can enjoy beautiful hikes. Another destination is Lake Tovel, an emerald gem beneath the Brenta Group. Nearby, you can visit the sanctuary of San Romedio, which, thanks to its location and architecture, is a must-see.
